Xikou is a town located in northeastern Zhejiang province, China, with a population of approximately 84,000. It covers an area of 381 square kilometers and is situated roughly 39 kilometers west of the city of Ningbo. The town falls under the administration of Fenghua District.
The location is historically significant as the birthplace and ancestral home of Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China. Additionally, Xikou is noted for its role in World War II history; Mao Fumei, the divorced wife of Chiang Kai-shek and mother of Chiang Ching-kuo, was killed during a Japanese bombing of the town on December 12, 1939.
