Tongyu is a county located in the northwestern region of Jilin Province, China. It serves as the southernmost county-level division within the prefecture-level city of Baicheng and shares borders with Inner Mongolia to its south and west.
The county covers a total land area of 8,476 square kilometers (approximately 3,273 square miles). It currently has a population of 350,000 residents.
