Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, commonly referred to as Shizhu County, is located in southeastern Chongqing, China. Situated south of the Yangtze River, it serves as a key administrative division within the center zone of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region.
The county borders several districts and counties, including Wanzhou District to the north, Zhong County to the northwest, Fengdu County to the southwest, and Pengshui County to the south. To its east, it shares a border with the Hubei county-level city of Lichuan.
Shizhu is notable for being the only autonomous county in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region designated specifically for a single ethnic minority, the Tujia people.
