Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is an autonomous prefecture located in eastern Qinghai province in northwest China. It shares a border with Gansu province to the east and covers a total area of 17,921 square kilometers (6,919 square miles).
The administrative seat of the prefecture is situated in Tongren County. As an autonomous prefecture, it serves as a primary administrative division within the Qinghai region.
