Hongxi is a city located in China. While it serves as a geographical location within the country, the name is also associated with historical figures such as the Hongxi Emperor.
The Hongxi Emperor, born Zhu Gaochi, was the fourth emperor of the Ming dynasty. He ascended to the throne in 1424 following the death of his father, the Yongle Emperor, though his reign lasted less than a year before ending in 1425.
