Dongsha, also known as Pratas Island or the Tungsha Islands, is a coral island located in the northern part of the South China Sea. It is situated approximately 170 nautical miles southeast of Hong Kong and is administered as part of Cijin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The island covers an area of about 240 hectares, which includes a lagoon spanning 64 hectares. As the largest of the South China Sea Islands, it serves as the site of the Dongsha Airport.
