Zongyang

Zongyang County is a county located in the southern region of Anhui province, China. It is situated primarily on the northern (left) bank of the Yangtze River and falls under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Tongling.

The county covers an area of 1,808 square kilometres (698 sq mi) and has a population of approximately 960,000 residents. The local government is situated in Zongyang Town (枞阳镇).

Historically, the jurisdiction of Zongyang County was under Anqing; however, this was officially transferred to Tongling on 13 October 2015.
