Xuancheng

Xuancheng is a city located in the southeastern region of Anhui province, China. It is situated within the lower Yangtze River drainage basin and the Yangtze River Delta. The city shares borders with Wuhu to the northwest, Chizhou to the west, and Huangshan to the southwest, while bordering the coastal provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangsu to the southeast and northeast.

The area has a long history of human habitation, with archaeological evidence suggesting it has been settled for over 4,000 years. Xuancheng has been under formal administration since the Qin dynasty.
