Haiyang

Haiyang is a coastal city located in eastern China within the Shandong province. Situated on the southern coast of the Shandong Peninsula, it borders the Yellow Sea. The name of the city translates directly from Mandarin as the "yang" (阳) side of the "ocean" (海).

Administratively, Haiyang is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Yantai. The city gained international recognition as the host location for the 2012 Asian Beach Games.
