Fuling District is a major administrative division located in central Chongqing, China. It holds the distinction of being the second-largest district within the municipality of Chongqing.
The area is notable for its location along the Yangtze River. The district gained literary recognition as the setting for Peter Hessler's memoir, "River Town: Two Years on the Yangtze," which chronicles his time working there as a U.S. Peace Corps teacher.
