Chuzhou is a prefecture-level city located in eastern Anhui Province, China. It serves as a regional hub bordering the provincial capital of Hefei to the south and southwest, Huainan to the west, and Bengbu to the northwest. The city also shares a border with Jiangsu Province to its east.
According to the 2010 Chinese census, Chuzhou has a registered population of 3,987,054 inhabitants, while the number of declared permanent residents is 7,260,240. The city's built-up area consists of two urban districts with a registered population of 1,198,719, though Lai'an County has undergone significant urbanization.
