Bengbu

Bengbu is a city located in the northern region of Anhui Province, China. According to the 2020 census, the city had a registered population of 3,296,408 residents.

The urban area consists of four districts and Fengyang County in Chuzhou Prefecture, which are largely conurbated with approximately 1,968,027 inhabitants. The name Bengbu translates to "Clam Wharf" in Chinese, a reference to the city's historical reputation as a site for freshwater pearl fishing.
