Yaoundé is the capital city of Cameroon. Located in the country's Centre Region, it sits at an elevation of approximately 750 metres (2,500 ft) above sea level.
The city has a population exceeding 2.8 million people. It serves as the second-largest urban center in Cameroon, following the port city of Douala.
