Bafia

Bafia is a town and commune located in the Centre Province region of Cameroon. Situated approximately 120 km (75 mi) north of the national capital, Yaoundé, it serves as the administrative capital of the Mbam-et-Inoubou department.

The city has a population of roughly 55,700 inhabitants, ranking it as the third-largest city in the province behind Yaoundé and Mbalmayo. The local population primarily consists of members of the Bafia and Yambassa peoples. Additionally, Bafia serves as the see of its eponymous diocese.
