Dschang

Cameroon

Dschang is a city located in the West (Ouest) Province of Cameroon. It serves as the capital of the Ménoua division. The region is primarily inhabited by the Bamiléké people, who are the predominant ethnic group in the area.

The city has experienced significant demographic growth over recent decades. While the population was recorded at 21,705 in 1981, it reached an estimated 87,000 by 2001 and was further estimated to have grown to 200,000 inhabitants by 2006.
