Trapiche

Chile

Trapiche refers to a type of mill constructed with wooden rollers designed to extract juice from various fruits. Historically, these mills were primarily used for processing olives; however, since the Middle Ages, they have also been utilized for extracting juice from sugar cane.

The term is frequently applied beyond the machinery itself to describe the specific location where the mill is situated. This can refer either to the workshop area or to the entire plantation associated with the milling process.
