Coelemu is a city and commune located in the Itata Province within the Ñuble Region of Chile. The municipality covers a total land area of approximately 342.3 square kilometers, which is equivalent to about 132 square miles.
According to data from the 2002 census, the population of the Coelemu commune was recorded at 16,082 residents.
