Calbuco is a city and commune located in southern Chile. It is administered by the Municipality of Calbuco and falls under the jurisdiction of the Llanquihue Province within the Los Lagos Region.
The origins of the city date back to 1603 with the establishment of the Spanish Fort Calbuco, which later developed into an important fish market. The commune is also notable for containing the archaeological site of Monte Verde.
