Colbún is a town and commune located in the Linares Province of the Maule Region in Chile. Situated approximately 7 km (4 mi) west of the center of continental Chile, it serves as a significant geographical point within the region.
The commune covers an area of 2,900 km² (1,120 sq mi), making it the largest commune in the Linares Province. It has a total population exceeding 17,000 inhabitants, while its capital town, Colbún, has a population of 3,679.
