Ovalle

Ovalle is a city located in the Coquimbo Region of Chile. It serves as the capital of the Limarí Province and was established as a settlement in 1831.

The city has a population exceeding 113,000 people. It was named in honor of José Tomás Ovalle, who served as a former Chilean vice president and two-time acting president.
