Villa Mercedes is a city located in the province of San Luis, Argentina. It is situated on the center-east of the province along the left-hand banks of the Quinto River. The city is positioned approximately 32 km from the border with Córdoba and serves as a point near the intersection of National Routes 8 and 7.
The city is connected to the provincial capital, San Luis, via National Route 7, which lies roughly 90 km to the north-west. According to the 2001 census conducted by INDEC, Villa Mercedes had a population of 96,781 inhabitants.
