Puerto Aysén is a city located in the extreme south of Chile within the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region. It serves as the capital city for both the commune of Aisén and the Aysén Province.
The city is situated 4 kilometres above the head of Aisén Fjord. It is located approximately 65 kilometres from the regional capital of Coyhaique and 15 kilometres from Puerto Chacabuco, which serves as the primary maritime entry point to the area. The main tourist attraction in the vicinity is Lagoon San Rafael.
