Quintero

Chile

Quintero is a city and commune located in the Valparaíso Province within the Valparaíso Region of Chile. It is situated approximately 30 kilometers north of the city of Valparaíso and covers a total area of 147.5 km2 (57 sq mi).

The commune holds historical significance as it was established as the first port in the country during the expedition of Diego de Almagro. In modern times, the area is characterized by its industrial activity, specifically hosting heavy industries such as Fundición Ventanas.
