Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco and serves as the nation's primary economic and business center. It is situated on the Atlantic coast of the Chaouia plain in the central-western part of the country.

The city has a population of approximately 3.22 million within its urban area, while Greater Casablanca exceeds 4.27 million residents. These figures make it the most populous city in the Maghreb region and the ninth-largest city in the Arab world.
