Abobo is a northern suburb of Abidjan, located in Ivory Coast. It serves as one of the ten urban communes that comprise the city of Abidjan.
The commune is one of the most populated areas in the country, housing approximately 1.3 million inhabitants across an area of 6,925 hectares (69.25 km2). This results in a population density of roughly 193 inhabitants per hectare. A significant portion of the local population consists of Muslim settlers originating from northern regions of the country.
