Ivory Coast

Abidjan is the largest city and former capital of Ivory Coast. Located in West Africa, it serves as a significant cultural crossroads for the region and is characterized by high levels of urbanization and industrialization.

As of the 2021 census, Abidjan had a population of 6.3 million people, representing 21.5 percent of the country's total population. It ranks as the sixth most populous city proper in Africa, following Lagos, Cairo, Kinshasa, Dar es Salaam, and Johannesburg. Additionally, it is recognized as the most populous French-speaking city in West Africa.
