Nyon is a municipality located in the Nyon District within the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva, it lies approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Geneva's city centre and has been integrated into the Geneva metropolitan area since the 1970s.

The town serves as the seat of the Nyon District and has a population of 21,718. It is notably recognized in the sporting world as the headquarters for both the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and European Football Clubs (EFC). The municipality is connected to the rest of Switzerland via the Route Suisse, the A1 motorway, and the railways of the Arc Lémanique.
