Montreux is a Swiss municipality and town situated on the shoreline of Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps. It is located within the Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut district in the canton of Vaud.
The town has a population of nearly 27,000 residents. As of 2019, it is part of the Vevey-Montreux agglomeration, which has an approximate population of 85,000.
