Bauen was a former municipality located on Lake Lucerne in the Swiss canton of Uri. It served as an independent administrative entity until its integration into a larger local government structure.
On January 1, 2021, the municipality of Bauen officially merged into the neighboring municipality of Seedorf. This merger consolidated the administrative functions of the area within the canton of Uri.
