Sursee is a municipality situated in the district of Sursee within the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. The town is geographically positioned at the northern end of Lake Sempach.
The name "Sursee" originates from its proximity to the point where the Sure stream exits Lake Sempach (referred to as "See").
