Surpierre is a municipality located in the district of Broye within the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It serves as a local administrative center for its surrounding region.
The municipality has expanded its territory through several incorporations over the last two decades. In January 2005, it incorporated the formerly independent municipality of Praratoud. This was followed by the incorporation of Villeneuve in January 2017 and the addition of Cheiry in January 2021.
