Brugg is a Swiss municipality and town located in the canton of Aargau. It serves as the seat of the district of the same name.
The town is situated at the confluence of three rivers: the Aare, Reuss, and Limmat. The Aare river flows directly through the medieval section of the settlement. Geographically, Brugg is positioned approximately 16 kilometers from the cantonal capital of Aarau, 28 kilometers from Zürich, and about 45 kilometers from Basel.
