Lukula is a town and territory located in the Kongo Central province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is situated at an altitude of 144 meters above sea level on the southern bank of the Lakula river. The town is positioned along the road and the disused Mayumbe railway line, which connects Boma to the south with Tshela to the north.
The local economy is primarily driven by commercial logging and cement production, which utilizes limestone found in the area. As of 2004, the population of Lukula was recorded at 26,878 residents.
