Kananga is a city located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It serves as the capital city of the Kasai-Central Province and was previously the capital of the former Kasaï-Occidental Province.
The city, which was formerly known as Luluabourg or Luluaburg, is the fourth most populous urban area in the country. As of 2021, its estimated population was 1,524,000.
