Kikwit

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Kikwit is the largest city in Kwilu Province, situated in the southwestern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The urban area is primarily located on the left bank of the Kwilu River, which serves as the river's furthest navigable point.

The city has a population exceeding half a million inhabitants. It is organized into four communes with decentralized leadership: Kazamba, Lukemi, Lukolela, and Nzinda.
