Bandundu was one of eleven former provinces located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It served as a significant administrative region within the country's internal geography.
The province shared borders with several other regions, including Kinshasa and Bas-Congo to the west, Équateur to the north, and Kasai-Occidental to the east. The provincial capital is also known as Bandundu.
