Kipushi is a border city located in the Haut-Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is situated at an altitude of 1,329 meters (4,363 feet) and lies approximately 35 kilometers southwest of the city of Lubumbashi.
The town is positioned very close to the border with Zambia. Its primary economic activity is mining, and it serves as a constituent part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sakania–Kipushi.
