Katwa is a sub-divisional town and railway junction located in the Purba Bardhaman district of West Bengal, India. It serves as the administrative headquarters for the Katwa subdivision.
The town was established at the confluence of the Ganga and Ajay rivers. Geographically, it functions as a border city situated between three districts: Purba Bardhaman, Nadia, and Murshidabad.
