Tshela

Democratic Republic of the Congo

Tshela is a city located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It serves as the main town of the Bas-fleuve district within the Kongo Central Province.

Historically, the town was connected to the port of Boma via the Mayumbe Line, which was an isolated narrow gauge railway. This rail link operated from 1889 until 1984.
