Sorel-Tracy is a city located in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It serves as the geographical endpoint of the Champlain Valley and is situated at the confluence of the Richelieu River and the St. Lawrence River. The city lies on the western edge of Lac Saint-Pierre, positioned downstream and northeast of Montreal.
As of the 2021 Census, the population of Sorel-Tracy was 35,165. It serves as the seat of the judicial district of Richelieu and the Pierre-De Saurel Regional County Municipality. The current mayor of the city is Patrick Péloquin.
