Snowdon, also known as Yr Wyddfa, is a mountain situated in Snowdonia in North Wales. It reaches an elevation of approximately 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level. Due to its height, it is recognized as the highest mountain in Wales and the highest peak in the British Isles located south of the Scottish Highlands.

The mountain is situated within Snowdonia National Park and is designated as a national nature reserve. This status protects the area's diverse environment, which is notable for its rare flora and fauna.
