Outremont is an affluent residential borough, or arrondissement, located within the city of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. It is situated entirely on the Island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec.
The neighborhood is primarily inhabited by Francophones and serves as a home to a Hasidic Jewish community. While Outremont has been predominantly residential since the 1950s, certain streets including Van Horne, Bernard, and Laurier contain many commercial buildings.
