Wasaga Beach is a town located in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. It is situated at the southern end of Nottawasaga Bay, approximately 150 km north of Toronto and about 40 km northwest of Barrie. The town sits along a long sandy beach positioned between the bay and the Nottawasaga River.
The area is a popular summer tourist destination known for hosting the longest freshwater beach in the world. These beaches are part of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, which covers a total area of 168 hectares. While the town has a year-round population of 24,862 as of 2021, this number increases significantly during the summer months due to many seasonal residents.
