Scarborough Village

Canada

Scarborough Village is a residential neighborhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated within the larger namesake district of Scarborough and lies along the Scarborough Bluffs escarpment.

Historically, it was one of the earliest settlements in the former township of Scarborough and served as the site of the township's first post office. Although an early settlement, it did not serve as the primary town center for the later City of Scarborough; instead, mass urbanization began at Birch Cliff in the district's southwestern extremity due to spillover growth from the old City of Toronto.

The modern neighborhood is characterized by a mix of private and public housing, apartment complexes, schools, several condominiums, and strip mall plazas.
