Peterborough is a cathedral city located in the City of Peterborough district within the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. It is situated on the River Nene, approximately 74 miles (119 km) north of London.
As of the 2021 census, the urban area of Peterborough had a population of 192,178. In 2023, the Peterborough City Council estimated that the wider district's population reached approximately 219,510.
