Grimsby, also known as Great Grimsby, is a port town located in the county of Lincolnshire, England. It has a population of approximately 86,138 and serves as the administrative center for the borough of North East Lincolnshire. The town is situated near the mouth on the south bank of the Humber, which flows into the North Sea.
The town adjoins Cleethorpes directly to the south-east, forming a conurbation with that settlement. Geographically, Grimsby is positioned 45 miles north-east of Lincoln, 33 miles south-east of Hull, and 50 miles east of Doncaster. It is officially part of the Yorkshire and the Humber region.
