East Gwillimbury is a town located in the Regional Municipality of York in southern Ontario, Canada. Situated on the East Holland River, it is part of the Greater Toronto Area. The municipality was established through the amalgamation of the Township of East Gwillimbury with all previously incorporated villages and hamlets within that township.
The primary centers within the town include the villages of Sharon, Mount Albert, Queensville, and Holland Landing. The Civic Centre is located along Leslie Street in Sharon. Other areas within the town limits include the hamlets of Holt and Brown Hill. Geographically, the northernmost interchange of Highway 404 is positioned at the north edge of East Gwillimbury, just south of Ravenshoe Road.
