Alliston is a settlement located in Simcoe County within the Canadian province of Ontario. It serves as a community within the larger municipality of the Town of New Tecumseth.
The settlement became part of the Town of New Tecumseth following a 1991 amalgamation that combined Alliston with the nearby villages of Beeton and Tottenham, along with the Township of New Tecumseth. The primary downtown area of Alliston is situated along Highway 89, which is locally known as Victoria Street.
