Port Moody is a city located in British Columbia, Canada. It serves as a member municipality of the Metro Vancouver Regional District and is situated at the east end of Burrard Inlet. The city is recognized as the smallest of the Tri-Cities.
The city is bordered by Burnaby to the west and Coquitlam to the east and south. To its northwest and north lie the villages of Belcarra and Anmore, respectively, along with the Coast Mountains. Port Moody was named in honor of Richard Clement Moody, who served as the founder and first lieutenant-governor of the Colony of British Columbia.
