Marpole is a primarily residential neighborhood located on the southern edge of Vancouver, British Columbia, in Canada. As of 2011, the area had a population of 23,832 residents. It is situated immediately northeast of the Vancouver International Airport.
The neighborhood is geographically defined by Angus Drive to the west, 57th Avenue to the north, Ontario Street to the east, and the Fraser River to the south. During the 20th century, Marpole underwent significant changes driven by development and increased traffic associated with the construction of the Arthur Laing Bridge and the Oak Street Bridge.
